Fight the Oligarch! Eat the Rich! While I agree with the sentiment, I just do not see the policies that channel this anger into policy action. While the moderates, such as Third Way and Center for American Progress are steadily building their power by making policies that can be sold, I do not see the same planning going or work from the Progressive side.
If anyone knows of an organization working on these issues let me know. What I'm looking for is a deep dive into the policy weeds on how to leverage government to enact our vision for the world. A Project 2025, but for the Left that lets us change government on Day One.
Progressives believe in government to solve problems and be the bulwark against powerful business interests. I do not believe that the current representation of Progressives is a building the foundation necessary to achieve long term results.
The one thing that I have to thank President Trump for is that he has thrown out the norms and shown what true Presidential power can do. Progressives need to harness that power to build up new long-lasting institutions that will carry us into the 21st Century.
At this late stage of Capitalism, more of the Left are realizing that the mass accumulation of wealth and power in the hands of the view means that those forces can shape our timeline. Let's destroy the design and create something for the future that is meaningful.
