Elvira Harris to run for State Assembly District 40
After much thought, consideration, trips to Sacramento and
meeting with leaders of the California Democratic Party I am proud and honored
to announce that I am running for California State Assembly District 40.
Being that this will be an open seat, I am up for the
challenge of many candidates throwing their hats in the ring. However, the
support for my campaign continues to grow solidly in all communities, in
particular, law enforcement, teachers, women, minorities and community activist
as well as elected officials.
With my experience in negotiations and fighting for living
wages for workers, I am prepared to continue that fight for families in the
40th District. I will work to ensure that every working family in the 40th
Assembly District has decent living wages, brings jobs to our community, raise
our level of education and continue my path to ensure our community is safe. I
am looking forward to meeting the community on a more personal basis.
Ms. Elvira Harris lives in Rancho Cucamonga and is a
Correctional Counselor for the State of California. The 40th Assembly District
includes the cities of Highland, Loma Linda, Lytle Creek, Mentone, Rancho
Cucamonga, Redlands and San Bernardino.
